It's that time of year again

Should you or Shouldn't you Waterproof your basement?

The weather is warming up, the spring rains are coming....Are you getting water in your basement AGAIN? Water in your basement is a sign that there is a breach in your foundation wall. For those that only use their basement for storage and the usual utility room, a problem like water coming in might not seem that big of a deal BUT IT IS! A damp basement is a breeding ground for deadly molds, bacteria, and allergy inducing particles. These hazards can not only affect your health but cause your house to smell. Beyond the possible medical and sanitary problems, every year you allow water to breach your foundation wall you allow damage to be done to the most important part of your house! Yes, waterproofing your home is not a small expense but to replace one foundation wall can cost 4 times the amount of waterproofing all 4 walls.

More Information

T.V. Camera inspection can prove very valuable. With this amazing technology we can actually see inside the sewer line to locate the problem quickly and accurately.

Why use High Pressure Sewer Jet Cleaning? As a problem fixing tool it is the most powerful way there is to unclog your sewer lines and drains. As a maintainence tool it is highly recommended. Keeping your drains clean and in top condition can prevent further and more costly problems down the line. We highly recommend the maintainence cleanings and we offer special package prices on preventative messures.

Electric Sewer & Drain Cleaning is one of the ways we clean a drain. The sewer machine will clean 1 1/2" drains to 8" drains. This is good for household drains, sanitary storm sewers, and downspouts. Cutters on the end of the snake help cut the roots that clog most outside drains and help free debris in the sewer.

Basement Waterproofing consists of locating the problem on the foundation wall or walls and repair the damaged wall.

Our procedure for waterproofing: Excavate the foundation wall to the footer. Scrape, clean, plaster and ironite, and tar the foundation wall or walls. Install new drain tile and sewer line for the downspouts. Jet flush the existing drain tile and sewer lines to insure the proper flow of water. Connect new lines to the existing lines and reconnect all downspouts in the area of work. Backfill the excavated areas with washed gravel to within 18 inches of ground level and install topsoil to grade. Replant shrubs where possible, survival of the shrubs in not guaranteed. Remove all debris such as old drain tile, sewer pipe, and excess dirt from the property.
